“These two barns are on Ellsworth, just east of Stone School,” says Judi Taylor. Her husband works nearby and “recognized them instantly.” “The driveway to the city garage runs behind” them, she continues, referring to the city’s W.R. Wheeler Service Center. South of Ellsworth, the Wheeler Center occupies a former farm in Pittsfield Township; November’s image showed the vacant farm buildings, which are scheduled for demolition .

Peter DeHart, who grew up next to the farm, recalls its “three-seater” outhouse, and a 1960s Chevrolet truck commercial filmed there “while Ellsworth was still a gravel road.”

Speaking of neighbors, our apologies to Pamela Sinclair, who is the actual former neighbor of Tooth Fairy artist Harry “Bill” Bennett (October). We mistakenly attributed her recollections to another entrant, Ivana Mrazova. Sorry, Ivana and Pamela!

Only three people correctly identified the Wheeler Center; Judi Taylor won our drawing. She will enjoy her $25 gift certificate at Hollander’s.
