Q: The purple canoe sculpture in Bandemer Park is gone! What happened to it?
A: That’s “Tulip,” ten aluminum canoes standing vertically and meeting at a point in the middle. In 2020 a vehicle crashed into it, and creator Ray Katz brought it back to his Pontiac studio for repair. He emails that he hopes to have it back at Bandemer this fall.
