Again the snow coats everything here,
driving for the first time down Washtenaw.
(Is it possible to do anything without fear
again?) The snow coats everything here:
the distant fans and their shivered cheers,
the pre-dawn highways I asked you to draw
again, the snow-coats. Everything’s here,
driving for the first time down Washtenaw.
