We received 105 entries correctly identifying the April Fake Ad. That’s not a huge number, but not bad when you consider what else all of you Fake Adders had to send in in mid-April. (You do pay taxes, don’t you? Or are you so wily that you’ve figured out a way to avoid them, and cheating death is next?)

The ad was for WhisperCool filters, with the last name of our March winner, “Glowacki,” concealed in the text, “Gee, low AC kills …” It appeared on page 86 of the April issue.

“I love your fake ads,” Kathy Kennedy wrote, thus making her one of our favorite entrants. “They are the first thing I look for each time I get the Observer. Thank you for the fun and challenge.”

Our winner was Ypsilanti’s Donald Reichert. He’s taking his gift certificate to the Old German.

To enter this month’s contest, find the Fake Ad in the May issue and follow the instructions in the box at the bottom of the Back Page. The Fake Ad always contains the name of last month’s winner in some form.
