It’s “the heart sculpture, Tools + Fire,” writes Johanna Grum about our August feature. David Karl used Google Earth to find Jim Dine’s sculpture on North Campus, and says, “thank you for leading me to a part of our community that I might never have explored.”

“As soon as I saw the heart shape and read ‘tools’ I knew it was by Dine,” writes Dave Bicknell. They are “two of his favorite subjects.” “The tools … represent memories of the hardware store that his family owned,” shares Lisa Vogel, “and the hearts represent a ‘constant presence of feeling.'” Michele Forbes’ family recently started looking for I Spy features together. She writes, “I asked my son, Noah, why he thought they put a heart and tools together.” Noah’s reply? “Because you have to fix a broken heart somehow.”

Our random drawing winner, from among twenty-two correct entries, is Duane Keahl of Ann Arbor. He will enjoy his $25 gift certificate at the Common Grill in Chelsea.
