Q. Do I have to register my bicycle with the city?
A. No. City council terminated Ann Arbor’s bike registration program in 2010. The U-M will register bicycles (and electronic devices) for members of the university community on a voluntary basis; additional registration and theft recovery services are available from organizations such as the nonprofit Bike Index.
