Annex of Paredown, in the mini strip center behind Mallek’s Service at the divide between Dexter and Jackson, closed in February. The store was beloved by its patrons for its eclectic collection of home decor, unique fabrics, and chalk paint (it was the only official source of that in town), gathered over the years by owner Brenda Brown during her time as both a Realtor and professional downsizer. Brown told us that her downsizing business, Paredown, will continue.
