“Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights”: Chelsea Area Festivals & Events
Every Thurs. in June & July. Musical entertainment on multiple stages downtown, as well as food vendors, cornhole, cosplay, art-making activities, and events for kids like magic shows, circus acts, face painting, and balloon artists. Also, a silent disco in the Art Alley. Tonight: the local horn-powered Motown/Memphis soul tribute band Salmagundi (Palmer Commons), soul & country covers by Kay Harper (E. Middle), local acoustic country-folk singer-guitarist Bob Pogue (Collins off Main), acoustic classic rock by Abbey Rose & Co. (Clocktower Gazebo), and Seventh (Rumpus Room), a Chelsea metal quintet that describes its music as a “fresh & fiery mixture of post-grunge with metal shards of deathcore.” Red, white, and blue attire encouraged. 6:30–8:30 p.m., downtown Chelsea, various locations.
