"Black Maternal Health Café" : Michigan Medicine/Trinity Health/Washtenaw County
The Black Maternal Health Café is a free, family-friendly gathering during Black Maternal Health Week (April 11–17, 2026). The Café champions the experiences of Black birthing people, raises awareness about maternal health disparities, and celebrates Black maternal joy. It brings together clinicians, advocates, researchers, and community members for dialogue, resource sharing, and learning opportunities for all ages.

- Café Conversations on vital Black maternal health topics, including:
- Cardiovascular disease in pregnancy
- Perinatal mental health
- Keynote: Dr. Mona Hanna, Founder of Rx Kids
- Perinatal and community resource tabling
- Music by DJ Mars
- Photo booth, chair massages, kids’ arts & crafts, lemonade bar
- Food from a local caterer
- Special performance by an African dance group
- Free raffle tickets (diapers, strollers, gift cards, and more)
