The U-M has 19 schools and colleges, 13 of which offer undergraduate degree programs. There were 79,743 applicants for the freshman class of 2021-2022, a 22 percent increase from the previous year. To enroll for a graduate degree in the liberal arts, contact the Horace H. Tuition and fees for 1st-year undergraduates in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts for 2022-2023 are estimated to be $16,736 for Michigan residents and $55,308 for nonresidents. The Go Blue Guarantee offers free tuition to all in-state students with a family income of $65,000 or less and assets below $50,000. For graduate program tuition and fees, contact individual programs or schools. Nondegree classes are available at half cost to people age 65 & over.
