Open skating Sept.-May at Veterans Ice Arena (734-794-6235). Instructional skating program for ages 3 & up uses the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Test Program. All students in kinderskate, beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes tested on skills and awarded badges for completion. Sessions run Sept.-May. Open skating Nov.-Mar. at Buhr Park Outdoor Ice Arena (734-794-6234). Natural outdoor ice rinks have been added at Burns, Allmendinger, and Northside parks, but have no rental equipment.
