Jayce Ogren leads this freshman & sophomore music student ensemble in a program highlighted by Prokofiev’s powerful and lyric Symphony No. 5. Also, early 20th-century Spanish composer Joaquín Turina’s impressionistic expression of a bullfight, La Oración del Torero, and late 20th-century Belgian composer André Waignein’s Rhapsody for Alto Saxophone featuring U-M Concerto Competition winning soloist Lauren Troutman.
