“Fresh Air: Music for Piano & Winds”: Chamber Soloists of Detroit (Kerrytown Concert House)
A group of Detroit Symphony Orchestra wind players join pianist (and Chamber Soloists artistic director) Pauline Martin in Beethoven’s Quintet for Piano & Winds, composed when he was 26, and works by Saint-Saëns, Taffanel, and Fauré. Musicians include oboist Alex Kinmonth, clarinetist Ralph Skiano, horn player Scott Strong, bassoonist Conrad Cornelison, and flutist Amanda Blaikie. Followed by Q & A. 7:30 p.m., KCH, 415 N.
