‘Ann Arbor’ Movie Fundraiser: Marquee Arts
Ann Arbor native writer/director Trevor Zhou is working on a feature film set in Ann Arbor about a chance encounter between 2 former best friends that prompts them to confront the paths they’ve taken in life. The event tonight features a panel discussion that includes Zhou, recently retired longtime Marquee Arts executive director Russ Collins, Zingerman’s designer Lori Saginaw, and Pioneer High social studies teacher Jim Robert, an actor in the film. Also, food and drinks from local restaurants. Proceeds support the film’s planned production and filming in spring of 2026. 6-9 p.m., Michigan Theater, $100 (students, $50). Preregistration required at bit.ly/4gy1spr.
