We received only 29 entries correctly identifying the Fake Ad for Manning Farm and Home on page 27 of the Spring Community Observer.

The ad featured driverless tractors, leading several Fake Adders to comment on the feasibility of such machines. “I really worked over this one and came back to it several times,” wrote Sandra Peterson. “I was just positive that not too awfully many farmers would send a combine out into the field by itself … or set a backhoe to work without human eyes on the job.”

And Saline’s Michelle Canfield wrote, “Much as the farmers might like to turn the machinery loose I don’t think that will happen anytime soon. Now, where in the world did you hide Sue Force of Saline?”

We’ll let Peterson answer that: “The third time looking over all the ads, it just jumped out that people communicate through texting with all sorts of number and letter combinations! Hence, 4 Ce says Force.”

Our winner was Jim Blakeman. He’s taking his gift certificate to DSW Shoe Warehouse at Arborland Mall.
