Provides support, education, and advocacy for individuals affected by mental health conditions such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD, schizophrenia, and others. Works to eradicate stigma and discrimination associated with mental health conditions. Provides online newsletter, support groups for individuals with mental health conditions regardless of diagnosis, and groups for their families and friends, as well as for parents of children with suicidal ideation. Holds an annual mental health conference. Conducts NAMI signature educational programs, including Family-to-Family, Peer-to-Peer, and Ending the Silence.
