Join us for the free Bicentennial Park Splash Pad Celebration on Saturday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy open play on the new accessible splash pad and playground, family games and activities, water-themed fun, live music from a DJ, a food truck, Washtenaw Dairy treats available for purchase and an Ann Arbor Fire Department fire truck on display. At noon, join Mayor Christopher Taylor, Olympian Kelly Salchow MacArthur and Paralympian Michele Konkoly for special remarks and the dedication of the city’s first permanent signage commemorating Ann Arbor Olympians and Paralympians.
Enjoy the splash pad and activities before and after the ceremony. Then return that evening for the A²Zero Solar-Powered Movie Night featuring FernGully: The Last Rainforest beginning at 9:15 p.m. on the south ball diamond. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, snacks and nonalcoholic beverages. Free popcorn and ice cream will be provided.
