One day, a kid named Alex goes to a tennis tournament. Alex has won every single world cup since 2004. But, this isn’t a regular world cup. This is a magical world cup. People get to choose one element and they get to use it. Everybody always chooses Earth because you can just pick a part from the ground and carry the ball with it. But Alex chooses wind.
This is new, but is really good. You can just reverse the wind and shoot it super hard back at your opponent. By the time people catch on to what Alex is doing, Alex has already mastered wind and is just getting better. But, there’s a rule. You can only use the power in need. This doesn’t affect Alex. If he hits it out, he can just blow it back in. His opponents cower in fear when they realize Alex is their opponent.
Now, the match is starting. Alex is locked in. His opponent, James, is a water user. James is the first ever water user to join tennis. Not many follow behind him, but water can be really good if you have good timing. You can hit the ball and get it wet at the perfect timing. It gets really heavy and hard for the other player to hit the ball.
But even James cowers when he sees Alex. He is scared because even if he makes the ball heavy, Alex can just blow it back and use James’s powers against him. Five minutes in, the score is already 7–0. Alex is winning.
There are only two more matches left, and Alex has already won the first. The second match goes the same way, but Alex wins faster.
Only three minutes! James basically gives up. Last match, and it is already 4–0, Alex is up. Alex just needs two more minutes to win the whole world cup! Again. After two minutes, Alex wins.
He wins the world cup. No surprise.
The next world cup starts next week. Alex is ready. It is going to be against another wind user. This wind user is named Max. Max is the second best player in the world, behind Alex. This is going to be Alex’s toughest competition. He has to work hard and go to the gym a lot. As soon as Alex gets home, he gets ready and goes to his own tennis court to practice.
Congrats on your 1st publication! So proud!
This is the best story I have ever read and the part you added elements, that was really a great idea. Great Job Shlok!!
