“Newsies”: Pioneer Theatre Guild
Nov. 7–10. High school students perform Alan Menken, Jack Feldman, and Harvey Fierstein’s musical comedy-drama based on the 1992 musical film, which was inspired by the 1899 NYC newsboy strike, when newsboys rebelled against unfair working conditions. The Tony-winning score includes “Seize the Day” and “King of New York.” 7 p.m. (Thurs.–Sat.) & 2 p.m. (Sat. & Sun.), PHS Schreiber Auditorium, 601 W. Stadium.
