Mendelssohn’s Elijah (Part 1): UMS Choral Union Summer Sings
All singers welcome to join Choral Union director Scott Hanoian in a sing-through of Mendelssohn’s epic 1846 oratorio. Tonight, participants practice the more difficult parts and, after a break, sing Part 1 in its entirety. No auditions required; music provided (or bring your own, if you have it). Sung in English. Refreshments. Spectators welcome. Registration at 6:30 p.m. 7–9:30 p.m., Hill Auditorium. $5 sheet music fee at the door only. Spectators free. (734) 763–8997, events.umich.edu/event/148088.
