First Friday Shabbat: Jewish Cultural Society.
All invited for a dinner from a local restaurant, preceded by a brief secular Shabbat observance with songs, candle lighting, challah and wine rituals. Children welcome. 6:30–8 p.m., JCC, 2935 Birch Hollow. $10 (family, $25; members, free). Preregistration required at JewishCulturalSociety.org.
