Annual Golf Tournament: Parkridge Community Benefit

Join us for the Annual Charity Golf Tournament honoring the memory of Jamil Thomas Sr. and supporting the Parkridge community, a proud, predominantly African American neighborhood on the historic south side of Ypsilanti. This year's event falls on Juneteenth, making it a meaningful day of celebration, remembrance, and community investment.

This tournament was born out of love. Eight years ago, Jamil Thomas Sr. lost his courageous battle with cancer. In his memory, and in service of the community he cherished, this annual charity golf tournament was established in 2018 to raise funds and direct resources where they are needed most. In recent years, participation has declined, and with it, critical funding for Parkridge, making this year's tournament more important than ever.

Stepping up alongside this effort is Anthony Williamson, a well-known grassroots activist and former program director for the Parkridge community. For decades, Anthony has been a tireless voice for the people of Ypsilanti's south side. Though retired, he continues to advocate for Parkridge with the same passion and commitment that has defined his life's work.

Every dollar raised goes directly to programs and resources serving the Parkridge community. We invite you to participate and donate.
