Hands Across The Water Golf Outing: Polo Fields Golf and Country Club
This charity golf outing raises funds to provide for Hands Across The Water’s mission of supporting and empowering children and families through inclusive, strengths-based services. Hands Across The Water is a licensed, non-profit child welfare agency that provides services to children and families through foster care, kinship care, behavioral health, and adoption.

Snake Week: Massasauga Magic with Steven Parrish
Our own Natural Areas Steward and resident Massasauga expert Steven Parrish will lead a guided walk along trails that encompass Massasauga habitat. Learn why these shy, somewhat reclusive snakes love Matthaei and how land stewardship provides for many of the needs of this iconic Michigan species and the plant and animals species on which they depend. Closed toe shoes are required for the hike.

Join us for a low stress gathering of Queers! We’ll be at Corner every 2nd and 4th Monday. This is an unstructured event for folks to hang out and socialize – food and alcoholic/NA beverages available for purchase! Come down anytime after 6.

Scholares Minores Pro Musica Antiqua tour
“Scholares Minores pro musica Antiqua” (“Young musicians of Ancient Music”), a highly-talented travelling troop of Middle-&-High-School-age reenactors, dressed in period costume, sing-&-dance to authentic Renaissance & Baroque folk or sacred music, while playing the original ancient instruments.
They’re on tour thru Michigan, this entire month.
