Ann Arbor Art Fair
Experience the 2026 Ann Arbor Art Fair, the nation’s largest juried art event, returning to downtown Ann Arbor from July 16–18, 2026 (July 16-17 10am-9pm, July 18 10am-8pm). This beloved Midwest tradition transforms 30 city blocks into a vibrant showcase of creativity, featuring nearly 1,000 juried artists, interactive art-making spaces, and live demonstrations.
Beyond the exceptional art, visitors can enjoy:
Live Entertainment: Three dedicated music stages will feature local and regional talent throughout the fair.
Culinary Delights: A variety of dining options, from local restaurant pop-ups to the Original Culinary Arts Gallery, which features Zingerman’s tastings and demonstrations.

The Ann Arbor Art Fair
July 16–18. Our perennial multiday tent city within a city houses more than 1,000 artists from Michigan and around the nation in 3 separate fairs. Also, live music (see daily Art Fair Entertainment listings, beginning below), an art activity zone for kids, art making demos, a collaborative street chalk mural (Maynard & William), and chalk art demos by well-known street artist David Zinn with chalk available for participation by anyone. The Great Ginza Pokemon Hunt
The Great Ginza Pokémon Hunt
Throughout Art Fair weekend, visitors can participate in the Great Ginza Pokémon Hunt, an interactive experience designed to encourage exploration of Main Street.
Hidden Pokémon characters will be placed inside the storefront of six participating Main Street businesses. Visitors who locate all six characters, and share photos or videos on social media using #GinzaPokemonHunt will receive an entry into Ginza’s Birthday Blind Box Giveaway (with merchandise valued $500+!) as well as entry into the hidden character raffle. The participating businesses will be released in store and on the store’s Instagram handle (@ginza_tcg) on Thursday at 11am. Winners will be drawn randomly and notified via social media DM after the event on Saturday at 5pm.
Open Lab: Ann Arbor District Library
July 9, 16, 22, & 30 (different times). All invited to work on their own projects using the library’s tools, including silhouette cutting machines, die cutters, embossers, and button makers (July 9); 3D printers, laser engravers, and 3D pens (July 16); sewing machines, silhouette vinyl cutters, and heat presses (July 22); and soldering equipment and electronic components (July 30). 5–7:30 p.m. (July 9, 22, & 30) & 11 a.m.–2 p.m. (July 16), AADL Downtown, Secret Lab. “Investigate Labs”: U-M Museum of Natural History
Every Tues.–Sun. All age 6 & up invited into the museum’s labs to use scientific tools and museum specimens to answer questions and solve problems. The newest program lets participants try out simulated snake senses to experience the world as if they were a snake. “Fiddler on the Roof”: The Encore Musical Theatre Company
