Jeff Louden, a flooring installer and refinisher for twenty-three years, has opened a retail showroom for Superior Hardwood Flooring in Scio Township.
The family business gets many referrals from nearby Chelsea Plank Flooring, whose line of hardwood products will add nine new “more modern, washed-out looks” beginning January 1, according to Jeff’s daughter, Ayla, who manages the store. They also offer wide plank engineered and luxury plank vinyl products from other manufacturers.
Ayla Loudon says the showroom, formerly housing All Truck Accessories, has been designed to feel homey, because “it’s very overwhelming when you walk into a store and there’s samples everywhere on the ground.” They encourage customers to take home their large (three foot by eighteen inch) samples “so that you’re able to see their run of the floor” in its intended space.
