Luxury car dealership Mercedes-Benz of Ann Arbor has completed its short-distance move from Auto Mall Dr. to a newly redeveloped site on Jackson Rd. in Scio Township.
It’s the first of several entrants for a twenty-one-acre project by Oregon-based Lithia Motors, which gained township approval after promoting its all-electric buildings with net-zero carbon footprint. BMW of Ann Arbor has announced a similar move; its Auto Mall Dr. location is listed for sale or lease. Jaguar/Land Rover, whose nearest dealership is in Novi, has also been identified as a possibility for the planned unit development, which includes an electric vehicle charging park and a mixed-use section as yet unspecified.
