U-M engineering and computer science professor Angela Violi and U-M mechanical engineering research scientist Paolo Elvati discuss their research on how nonthermal plasma technology can shatter PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), the “forever chemicals” that have been detected in water sources across Michigan, posing a persistent threat to our environment.
