Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons: Les Arts Florissants (University Musical Society)
French violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte leads renowned chamber music ensemble Les Arts Florissants in performing Vivaldi’s most popular work, now 300 years old. They also perform other works by Vivaldi and by other Italian Baroque composers, including Monteverdi, Marco Uccellini, and Francesco Geminiani. Les Arts Florissants is known for “opening up new worlds of beauty and excitement, both emotional and intellectual,” according to the New York Times. 7:30 p.m., Hill Auditorium.
