Benjamin Cohen directs this local 24-voice chamber choir in a program that includes Carols of Death, William Schuman’s at once haunting and comforting 3-movement 1958 setting of Walt Whitman poems. Also, Eric Whitacre’s technically demanding Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine, and madrigals, partsongs and motets by Thomas Weelkes, Nico Muhly, Judith Weir, Byrd, and Brahms. 5–6 p.m., First Congregational Church, 306 N.
