“Rath Yatra”: International Society for Krishna Consciousness Farmington Hills Temple
Rath Yatra, or the Festival of Chariots, is a centuries-old tradition from eastern India featuring traditional Hare Krishna live music and dance performances, kids games and crafts, vegetarian Indian food for sale, mantra meditation, and henna painting. The highlight is a chance to join other festival goers in pulling an elaborately decorated chariot that holds representations of deities. 5–9 p.m., Lillie Park South, 4365 Platt.
