“Sadly,” says Miki Doan, “I know February’s I Spy … thank you for drawing attention to this matter.” The image shows former U-M football player Jon Vaughn’s “trailer in front of the U of Michigan President’s house–at 815 S. University Ave,” adds Melodie Marske. “Hence the 815-1/2 sign,” adds David Karl. Marske adds that “Vaughn’s presence is an ongoing reminder of the 1000’s who were assaulted by Dr. Robert Anderson and how long the University disregarded their pleas.”

“Vaughn initially pledged to campout at this location for 100 days,” writes Doan, when his protest began in October 2021, but Louisa Griffes notes that it continued “even after the University settled the lawsuit with … survivors for $490 million in January.” Vaughn and his fellow protestors have expanded their movement to encompass a broader scope of sexual abuse and student safety on campus.

Marske, our random drawing winner, signed her entry “Hail to the victims.” She will use her $25 gift certificate at Seva. To enter this month’s contest, use the image and clue above and send your answer to the address below.
