I spy “the art installation at the SE corner of Huron Parkway and Geddes,” writes Ellen Bauerle. “These are the ‘Embracing Our Differences’ banners in Gallup Park,” says Marilyn Knepp. “Wonderful billboard-size pieces on diversity and equality,” adds Amy Barnett. EOD (embracingourdifferences.org) started their annual exhibit in 2004 and receives entries from around the world. “We have been fortunate to be followers of this exhibit … in Sarasota, Florida, where it began,” shares Susan Pollans. Dave Bicknell points out that other local “displays are [at] Leslie Science Center in Ann Arbor, and Riverside Park and Partridge Park in Ypsilanti.”

Perry Silverschanz “caught sight of a huge sea of big displays and thought, ‘I have GOT to go back and look at these!’ ” Blake Hammond spotted them from the Huron High softball diamond and writes, “They caught my attention, as well as appreciation.” Shirley Thornton adds, “It was so beautiful to see” drawings and statements “from students locally and internationally. I hope all will take time to stop and look.”

Drawn from eighteen entries, our winner is Jamie Haberichter. Haberichter will enjoy a $25 gift certificate at Zingerman’s. To enter this month’s contest, use the image and clue above and send your answer to the address below.
