“Third Thursdays at the Library”: U-M Library
Monthly open house featuring rotating highlights from the library’s Special Collection Research Center, maps from the Clark Library, and items from other collections. Curators on hand to answer questions. Hot cocoa and cookies served. Today on the 1st floor: “Children’s Books: A Literature of Liminality.” Display of books that explore the theme of liminality between cultures, as well as between children’s books and “serious” literature, including works in Hawaiian, Maori, Quechua, and by Junot Diaz, Vladimir Nabokov, Lewis Carroll, and others. 4–6 p.m., Hatcher Library, enter from the Diag.
