Silversun Pickups: Live Nation
This L.A.-based indie alt-rock quartet has played Coachella and been compared to Smashing Pumpkins and My Bloody Valentine. Although it began 17 years ago with a shoegazer aesthetic, employing multiple overdubs of heavy, distorted guitars, its 2022 album Physical Thrills relies more on electronics. A Sputnik Music reviewer calls it an “undeniably alluring record brimming with mystique.” 8 p.m., Michigan Theater. $35–$165 in advance at tinyurl.com/silversun-mi.
