Misty Handmade Boutique & Crystals, a consigner of handcrafted wares from local artisans, has closed after one year in Baxter’s Plaza, the Zeeb Rd. center whose other tenants include Metzger’s and Grand Traverse Pie Company. In the owner’s Facebook announcement, Rachel (who prefers not be publicly identified further) writes that the boutique was successful in many ways, but “this business venture is just not for me anymore and I’m excited to continue growing my other businesses that I have, Misty Crystal Co & Misty Candle Co.” Both operate virtual stores on Facebook.

Aroma Indian Cuisine recently closed after three years at 211 W. Liberty. The Observer could not reach owners Krishna Nakka and Kiran Rampa for comment. Their Farmington Hills location has yet to reopen after a 2021 fire, and phone lines for both restaurants are disconnected.
