Featuring the fusion of French- and Asian-inspired baked goods, Tous Les Jours opened in November in the Westgate-adjacent building fronted by Lewis Jewelers.
Translated as “every day,” Tous Les Jours offers an appealing array of sweet and/or savory goods amid a white, modern decor and lively pop music. Customers can load their own tray and check out, with the food transferred to a Styrofoam plate for those dining in. Whether from self-serve cases, tables of individually wrapped goodies, or the glass counter cabinet, employees say it’s all baked in-house daily.
During a December visit, choices ranged from mango cloud cake to sweet frank rolls to strawberry croissants to spinach feta danish to red bean donuts. Over a dozen varieties of macarons were on display. Full loaves and cakes are available, as are various coffee, tea, and blended drinks.
It’s the second Michigan location for the South Korea–based franchise with more than 1,650 stores worldwide. (Its parent company, CJ Group, is chaired by Lee Jay-hyun, grandson of the founder of Samsung, from which it spun off.) Franchisee Jinwan Lee also launched a location in Troy in 2021; at press time, he hadn’t responded to the Observer’s messages.
