We received 125 entries correctly identifying the Fake Ad for The Partnership for a Gender-Free America on page 66 of the July issue. The ad contained a few lines from the Bob Seger song “Turn the Page.”

The ever-inquisitive Andy Yagle included a request in his entry: “Please let us know approximately how many Fake Adders mention Bob Seger.”

We aim to please. A dozen entries (counting Yagle’s) mentioned Seger, including a few who correctly referred to the singer as “Ann Arbor’s own.”

Rick Mintz took Yagle’s request a step further, asking if a Bob Seger reference produces more responses than a Cat Stevens reference. “I assume it would in Ann Arbor,” Mintz wrote, “but would like to see the data.” We’d like to see that data, too, but it would require a few minutes of research and we’re on deadline, so we’re just going to second Mintz’s assumption.

Our winner was Diane Hollosy. She’s taking her gift certificate to Zingerman’s Roadhouse.
