You’d think that in tough economic times, an all-you-can-eat buffet would be doing gangbuster business, but the Old Country Buffet in Cranbrook Village proved value for money isn’t necessarily enough. The buffet closed in mid-January after parent company Buffets, Inc. filed for Chapter Eleven bankruptcy, one of eighty-one locations to shut its doors as part of the company’s struggle to restructure. It’s the second time Buffets, Inc. has filed for bankruptcy protection. The first time, in 2008, it closed fifty-two restaurants.
