For half a century, a small standalone building on Packard has served southeast-siders as a takeout joint for chicken and seafood.

The latest iteration is the Chick N’ Seafood Spot, run by Wided Naghmouchi of Ann Arbor. She and her husband Anis purchased the business in November and have revamped the menu of the former Wicked Mary’s. It had operated under that name since 2019, and for decades prior, was known as Mary’s Fabulous Chicken & Fish.

Wided says the best selling items so far are the twenty-piece breaded shrimp, the fish and chicken wing combo, and Nashville-style hot fried chicken sandwiches.

It’s the couple’s first restaurant, and for now they’re offering staffed (rather than third-party) delivery, with hopes of expanding into breakfast fare and additional locations in the future.
