“The Music of Duke Ellington”: Kerrytown Concert House
The award-winning Detroit-area big band Planet D Nonet, a self-styled “space-age swing band” founded by drummer RJ Spangler and trumpeter James O’Donnell, performs the music of the great jazz composer-bandleader in celebration of the release of its new album, Echoes of Harlem: A Tribute to Duke Ellington, Vol. 2.
