“The Hunchback of Notre Dame”: U-M Musket
Mar. 21–23. Amy Douglas directs fellow U-M students in the Disney musical by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz based on Victor Hugo’s novel about the deformed bell-ringer Quasimodo who’s held prisoner in Notre Dame cathedral. When he escapes for a day, he’s treated cruelly by all but the beautiful gypsy Esmeralda. The score includes songs from the 1996 animated film, including “Out There.” 8 p.m. (Fri. & Sat.) & 2 p.m. (Sun.), Power Center.
