“Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights”: Chelsea Area Festivals & Events
Every Thurs. in June & July. Musical entertainment on 10 stages downtown, as well as food vendors, cornhole, cosplay, the ‘How to Chalk’–themed art stage, & events for kids, including magic shows, circus acts, face painting, and balloon artists. Also, a silent disco at the Glazier Bldg. and a selfie sculpture on the library lawn. Tonight: the veteran local 9-piece ska & funk collective Hullabaloo, the local dance-friendly pop-rock cover band Spark, vintage concert band music by the Town Band, the Bowdish Brothers vintage country trio, and Seventh, a Chelsea rock band that describes its sound as “an explosive, fresh, & fiery mixture of post-grunge with metal shards of deathcore.” 6:30–8:30 p.m., downtown Chelsea, various locations.
