“Shrek the Musical”: Young People’s Theater
May 16–18. J.D. Benison directs local young actors in Jeanine Tesori and David Lindsay-Abaire’s amiable 2008 musical, based on the 2001 animated film, about the adventures of an ogre, ridiculed and banished for his appearance, who eventually finds confidence, purpose, and true love.
