Mar. 9: “mARRch Musicals” Two pirate musicals: Pirates of Penzance (Wilford Leach, 1983), the legendary 1879 Gilbert & Sullivan opera as adapted from the 1980 Broadway update by Joseph Papp, and Muppet Treasure Island (Brian Henson, 1996), an epic sea faring swashbuckling adventure with the Muppet crew and Tim Curry, as adapted from the 1883 Robert Lewis Stevenson story.
