“Lift Every Voice and Sing”: Beyond Choir
EMU choral director Brandon Johnson conducts his local professional vocal ensemble in a collaborative concert with the student choir from Redford Union High School. The two groups perform separate programs with a variety of traditional and contemporary vocal pieces, culminating in a joint performance of Nathaniel Dett’s radiant setting of “Ave Maria.” 7:30 p.m., EMU Pease Auditorium, 494 College Pl., Ypsilanti.
