Closing Celebration: Ann Arbor Bicentennial History Committee
Festivities to mark the end of Ann Arbor’s bicentennial year include a performance by local amateur actors of EMU theater professor Jessica “Decky” Alexander’s short dramatic piece Ann Arbor Then, Now, Next. Also, a performance by Skyline High School musicians, a reading by Aaron Dworkin of his bicentennial poem “Echoes in the Bur Oak Grove,” and a screening of Community Television Network’s short video “Happy Birthday, Ann Arbor.” Preceded at 6 p.m. by refreshments and an exhibit of art by local and high school artists on the theme “the next 100 years.” Proceeds support Ann Arbor’s bicentennial legacy projects. 8–9 p.m., Skyline High School, 2552 N.
