“Beethoven’s Eroica”: Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra
Guest conductor Andrew Grams conducts the A2SO in a program anchored by Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, the “Eroica,” a work so revolutionary in form, harmony, and emotional range, it is widely considered a landmark in the transition between the Classical and the Romantic eras. Also, 19th-century French composer Louise Farrenc's lively Overture No. 2, and a performance of Chopin’s lyrical and technically demanding Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor featuring Fryderyk Chopin Competition medalist Kate Liu in her Ann Arbor debut.
