“A Winner of a Hike”: Waterloo Natural History Association
WNHA naturalist Doug Jackson leads a hike along the Winn Loop trail through rolling, wooded hills to see spring wildflowers, migratory birds, and Michigan’s only wild population of chestnut oaks, recently rediscovered. Dress for the weather and bring binoculars if you have them. The building is currently closed, but there is a pit toilet. Rescheduled from May 4 due to rain. 2–3:30 p.m., Eddy Discovery Center, lower parking lot, 17030 Bush Rd., Chelsea. $2 (families, $5).
