Jay died peacefully at home on March 1. His friends and family will hold a memorial celebration of his life on Saturday, June 15 at 1 p.m. in Pioneer High School’s Schreiber Auditorium, Ann Arbor.

Jay had an extraordinary gift—he was able to positively impact the lives of so many people over decades. At this celebration, a number of them will share something they learned from knowing Jay—a lesson they’ve used to enrich their own lives, or those of others.

And of course, there will be a lot of Jay’s music performed by a number of his very talented musician friends.

Remember that even though very few of us will have the opportunity to create change on a large scale, every one of us has the opportunity to make small positive changes in the world around us. We hope everyone will take something positive from this celebration that will help make the world a little better.

Formal dress is discouraged.
