“[April’s] I Spy is the Jolly Pumpkin Brewery and Cafe at 311 S. Main Street,” writes Silvia Ruiz. “Clever clue,” writes Barb Tester. Witness to one fool-ish march “refers to the FestiFools Parade,” writes Dave Bicknell. “I figured … it would be on the route of either the FestiFools or FoolMoon,” writes Janine Hutchinson, who used Google Street View to find it. “We relied on the daisy relief, shields, and awnings to spot it,” write Mary and Jim Adams. Dan Romanchik writes that he and his wife Silvia are “big fans of FestiFools.” As for the brewery, he adds: “I can’t think of a jollier place to enjoy a pre- or post-FestiFools celebration.”

Jolly Pumpkin originated in Dexter and has since branched out to several loca- tions throughout Michigan. “The Ann Arbor location opened in September 2009,” notes Tester. “[It] has been described as Ann Arbor’s funkiest brewpub.” “My son worked at the brewery some years ago [and developed] a gluten-free beer for me,” writes David Karl. “The award-winning Belipago,” has been retired, he laments, but the food is still good. “Fun fact,” writes Trevor Denton. “My fiancée and I are getting married this summer at the Jolly Pumpkin venue on the Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City!” Congratulations!

We received eighteen entries in April. Our winner is Kevin Gilson. He will enjoy his $25 gift certificate at Arbor Farms Market.
